A Brief Note to Rotarian Visitors

To me the issue I am offering for your presentation is bigger than polio, which is an immense legacy of Rotary. The two top priorities of the scholarship are to promote peace and fight disease. Without global education and awareness on the topic I am presenting, we cannot make better choices to enhance peace and health of all living beings.

A half hour talk is quite challenging to offer value on such an important topic. ==== Your contributions to improving my presentation and to my medical recovery would be greatly appreciated.

Over the years the Rotarian scholarship that offers the opportunity to cross pollinate with other Rotarians and citizens.  The name of the scholarship has changed from the Paul Harris Scholarship (Named after a lawyer who founded Rotary in 1905) to the Rotary Peace Fellowship today. It was called the Peace Ambassadorial Scholarship in 1997 when I was gifted this immense honor.

Before the award and throughout my life I have always carried the spirit of service to humanity and our environment. From the 1989 earthquake disaster relief and serving as a big sister to the massive California since wildfires statewide 2015, I have always resonated with the badge of being an Ambassador of Peace.

Naturally Rotarians want to know more about this, and I wish to give my full presentation time to the proposed topic.   Here’s  is the link (if you wish to learn more about my past.)

Receiving this international education from Rotary very significantly enhances my understanding of our world. To every soul that makes these scholarships possible, THANK YOU. Thank you for trusting in my capacity to be a representative of peace and goodwill for all.

With immense gratitude,
KC (Kim Carr)
